What about the Beano Fan Club Membership is changing?

Going forwards, new Fan Club memberships will include:

  • The famous Fan Club Pack, including a fluffy Gnasher badge and your child's membership card
  • Fan Club-only Collector's Comic
  • Beano Summer Special
  • Supersize double-sided poster
  • Beano Annual
  • Beano Halloween Special
  • Beano Christmas Special
  • an additional gift after renewal each year

                  The previous Fan Club Membership did not include the Fan Club-only Collector's Comic, Supersize double-sided poster and Beano Halloween Special. The Editor’s letter, Christmas card and Fan Club virtual event will not be included in future memberships.

                  Why is the Fan Club membership changing?

                  We have been listening to the Fan Club members and looking at how to make membership even more special. The refreshed offer keeps the physical goodies at the heart of the Fan Club and adds new, collectable items for members to enjoy throughout the year.

                  How did you choose which benefits to change?

                  We listened carefully to members and how they valued the existing benefits. Although the Fan Club online event was popular, we plan to offer events to Beano comic subscribers instead to benefit more families. Most Beano Fan Club members are also comic subscribers. Bill payers for comic subscriptions should keep an eye on their emails for invites to future online events.

                  When does the new Fan Club Membership kick in?

                  New members joining today will receive the new proposition. For existing members, the refreshed offering begins at the next renewal.

                  What do existing members need to do?

                  No action is required until we contact you. Existing members will move to the refreshed offering when their membership renews. We will contact bill payers before renewal with the price, payment date and any action the bill payer needs to take.

                  What if I don't want to move to the new Fan Club proposition?

                  If you pay by a recurring payment method you can cancel your membership via your online account at any time before your next payment.

                  If you paid for a fixed term (one year) membership there is no action you need to take, simply do not renew your membership when we invite you to. You can prevent renewal invitations being sent by logging into your online account and selecting "Cancel".

                  What if I’ve already cancelled my membership?

                  We have communicated to active members to inform them of the changes, but if you have already taken action to end your membership at the end of the current term you do not need to do anything further.

                  Why is the Beano Fan Club price increasing?

                  We have increased the physical benefits included in the membership and the Beano Fan Club membership is now priced at £34.99 when you pay by a recurring payment method.

                  This represents excellent value. The RRP of the Beano annual and the three Specials now included in membership totals £36.96. Membership also includes collectables that it's impossible to put a price on: the welcome and renewal gifts, the Fan Club-only Collector's Comic and the supersize double-sided poster. Delivery is included in the price.

                  As an existing member, am I missing out on anything previously included?

                  If a benefit was included in your current year of Fan Club membership, we’ll make sure you receive it.

                  What dates will the new benefits be sent?

                  It will always be clear on the product page at the time of ordering which gifts you will receive when, including which gift new purchasers will receive first.

                  Is the Beano comic subscription changing too?

                  Subscribers will have more ways to enjoy Beano throughout the year. We have been adding value to the Beano comic subscription over time. The Beano comic subscription now includes:

                  • the weekly Beano comic
                  • cover gifts included (UK)
                  • get the comic before it's in store
                  • online events
                  • Beano Sparks video workshops
                  • bonus digital extras
                  • the Beanotown Bugle exclusive email newsletter (sent to bill payers)
                  • free UK delivery

                                  Subscribers save significantly on the shop cover price and benefit from having the weekly comic delivered to their door.
