Why is there a payment to you on my bank or card statement?
You may notice a payment to us on your bank or card statement for a number of reasons. Below are the most likely explanations to help you understand where the charge has come from:
- Product orders placed via our website - these payments can take up to 7 days to appear on your bank or card statement.
- Magazine or comic subscriptions - prepaid subscription payments can appear up to 7 days after you place your order. Direct Debit payments are collected automatically depending on your subscription term frequency as described here and are not on a set date.
- Digital Stylist subscription - depending on your subscription type, payments are taken either monthly or annually on a set date.
- Digital news subscription - depending on your subscription type, payments are taken either monthly or annually on a set date.
If you don't recognise the payment as being for any of the above, please first check your email inbox (including spam or junk folder) for any order confirmations or welcome emails we may have sent you.
If you still need help you can contact our customer experience team for further assistance. Please be sure to include the date and amount of any payments taken along with the payment method used, for example Mastercard, Visa, PayPal, Apple Pay. If you have paid using Apple Pay there is a possibility that you will have registered with us using a Private Relay email address; if so, please include that when you contact us.
